My Story

I am happy to say hello to you through this letter. My name is Richard Geovany, and I hope you are having a fantastic day. I live with my parents and fortunately, none of us are sick. We attend the Prince of Peace Church every Monday and Wednesday. My family and I truly believe Jesus is our Savior. My father, Francisco Suy, is 52 years old. He is a farmer and bricklayer’s helper. My mother is a hardworking housewife who does her best to help my dad with the expenses. Her name is Maria Garcia and she is 38 years old. Nowadays, she is raising three pigs and hens at home for sale. We also have a cat as a pet. Our greatest needs are groceries, especially corn. To survive, we grow and harvest our own corn, beans, and herbs for our consumption. I want you to know the feeding program is a meaningful project. It has helped us with delicious lunches and medicines. When the pandemic came to our country, we could receive food parcels which was a great blessing.

As for school, let me tell you that I am in sixth grade. I am twelve years old. Receiving face-to-face classes is the best for me. I can learn more and make new friends. Our economic situation is not going well. Therefore, my parents have had trouble buying my school supplies. I would love to become a lawyer when I am older. My favorite holiday is Christmas because I love spending that lovely time with my loved ones. I would love to speak a new language like English someday. My favorite drink is Pepsi and I like playing soccer. I had my birthday in May. I wish to have a delicious meal and a cake to celebrate a new year of life with my family. To end this letter, I want you to know that a teacher of LW spoke with me to collect all my news for you. I hope you find it engaging. I send you many blessings, but I hope to hear from you soon.
