My Story

It is a beautiful day to send my greetings, and I trust that our Lord is blessing your life! This time LW staff shared the gospel with us and encouraged us to seek God. We do not attend church, so we appreciate so much they are worried about our spiritual life. My family and I are in good health, thanks to the Lord. My mother is Ingrid Amarillis Cabrera de Leon, and she is 31 years old. She works hard as a domestic employee to supply our home needs. We have some parakeets. Now, I want to share some things about my father. He is Francisco Javier Alvarez Deonicio, and he is 45 years old. He works as a bus driver in Guatemala City. However, he does not live with us and sends us a little support only when he wants to. He gives us Q500 = $66 every four or five months.

I am Maryori Guadalupe, and I am a 9-year-old girl. I am a third-grade student; I enjoy receiving classes at school because my learning is better, and I have fun with my classmates. Nowadays, school supplies and food are expensive, and it is hard for my mother to cover them because of a lack of resources. When I grow up, I would like to be a doctor and help many people with their health issues. The English language catches my attention, and I would like to learn how to speak it. My favorite drink is Coca-Cola because it is delicious. Basketball is the sport I like the most. I want to tell you that I love winter and the Christmas season because the climate is chilly, and I love all celebrations that people do at Christmas. Something I love on my birthday is share a cake with my family and break a “piñata” (kind of puppet filled with candies); I enjoy my day with my loved ones. I am so grateful to Living Water for providing me with a tasty meal, medical care in the clinics, and the most important I learn about God´s love. I want to ask for your prayers for my family because we are in need of groceries. So long, take care. May God bless you!

Bunch of hugs,

Maryori Guadalupe Cabrera de Leon
