My Story

It is a joy for me to say hello to you through this. I hope you are fine. I am Elmer Antonio Garcia Gomez. I am ten years old. Last year, I didn't receive enough face-to-face classes, so this year it's been difficult for me to learn my classes. This year, I am repeating second grade. For now, I am receiving face-to-face classes at school three days a week. In my spare time, I like to play games with my friends. I missed delicious food from the feeding program during the time it was closed due to the pandemic. Thank God, it is open again, so I get there in thirty-five minutes by walking. Let me tell you that my mom stays home raising domestic animals, and my older siblings also support my family financially. Occasionally, my mom prepares delicious rice and milk hot, and we get together as a family to enjoy a small snack. On Christmas, we made tamales, fruit punch and lit firecrackers. At the moment, we are attending Prince of Peace Church, located forty-five minutes away from home by walking. It was difficult for my family because we only had a few days of services during the pandemic. Thank God things have normalized little by little.

We live in a two-room house with a separate kitchen. The walls are made of adobe, the roof of tin sheets and the floor of dirt. It does have electricity and running water. The house condition is good. The pandemic affected my family because products of daily consumption rose in price, and food supplies are a great need at home. That’s why, I thank the feeding program for the grocery bags we received in the difficult times we went through. Thank you very much for blessing us this way. God bless you greatly! At the moment, we are all doing well, thank God. To finish, I want you to know my mom gave this information to an Evangelism team member to share with you my last news. Thank you for taking time and reading this. Take care please!

Lots of blessings,

Elmer Antonio Garcia Gomez
