I am so excited to send my greetings to you by this letter. I am Ruben Elias, and I am 13 years old. I am in 6th grade, and I attend in person classes 5 days each week. Thanks to God, I am doing well in my studies. I missed attending the feeding program during the pandemic because I missed all the delicious foods that they serve us there. Thank God, it is open again. I walk about 15 minutes to get to the feeding program. My father works as a farmer in order to cover our household expenses. My mother takes care of the household duties and also works as a farmer. By the grace of God, my family is in good health.
I love to spend time with my family. We like to get together in the afternoons and enjoy a snack together. We celebrated Christmas by preparing tamales and spending time with our family. We attend an Evangelical church which is a 15-minute walk from our town. We were sad when the church was closed during the pandemic because we were not able to worship the Lord like we did before. We own the house in which we live. We have 2 rooms and a separate kitchen. The house is made of adobe with a tin roof and dirt floor. Thank God, the house is in good condition. We have electricity and water. My family was affected by the pandemic because it was hard for my father to find work. Our biggest need is for corn. We are so grateful to Living Water who has been blessing us with food parcels during the pandemic; each product is really useful and a great blessing for us. I want to tell you that the LW team contacted my father by phone, and he gave them this information for you. I send you all my love and hope to see you soon. God bless you!
Hugs and much love,
Ruben Elias Jimon De La Cruz
