My Story

Hoping you have an awesome day alongside your loved ones; God bless you! Fortunately, my family and I attend Prince of Peace Church, and we go three times per week. My family and I have already accepted God in our hearts. My father is Carlos, and he is 41 years old. He makes a living by farming the land, and he also is a pastor of a church. He supplies our home needs. My mother is Micaela, and she is 40 years old. She stays busy with the duties at home and raises hens and turkeys to sell to contribute to the income. We grow corn for our family´s consumption. Thankfully, we are in good health.

I am Jose David Gutierrez Tzoy, and my current age is 12 years old. I am attending 6^th grade; my learning is going well since I receive classes at school. Nowadays, school supplies are expensive, and sometimes, my parents do not have the resources to cover them. I would like to study to become a teacher, I trust in God to accomplish my goal someday. My native language is Quiche dialect, and I would like to learn to speak Spanish because I would like to communicate better with other people. At home, we have the custom to eat “tamales” (a typical dish) at Christmas; it is delicious. I would like to receive a gift on my birthday because it would be wonderful for me. I like drinking water. I enjoy playing, but the sport I like the most is football. Being part of the feeding program is a great blessing for me because I receive tasty meals and a Christmas gift, so I am grateful to Living Water. Sending much love. Many blessings!
