My Story

Hello, I hope you are doing well! I am Jose David Gutierrez Tzoy. I am a young boy who lives in a rural place called Pasajoc in the mountains of Guatemala. I am 15 years old now, and I don’t go to school anymore. I work now as a farmer to help support my family. I finished primary school two years ago, and I was so happy because that meant I could start going to work and making money to help my family. I know God took care of me as I studied and went to school, and He is still with me every day. I know Jesus is my Savior, and He fights for me. I am very close to my dad because we go to work together sometimes, and we have fun hanging out together. I also like spending time with my friend, Isaias. We like playing soccer together. We have been friends since we were little. My dad’s name is Carlos Gutierrez Grave. He is a farmer, and he is also the pastor at our church. Our church is called Prince of Peace church.

We love going to church, and we especially love the thanksgiving service each year to give thanks for the crops and the harvest. My mom’s name is Micaela Tzoy Rodriguez. She is a housewife, and she also runs a small convenience store. Thankfully, we are all in good health. I hope you are too. I send many blessings to you and your loved ones.
