My Story

I greet you in the name of Jesus hoping you are fine. My mother is Lilian Garcia, and her age is 33 years old. She makes a living by making tortillas in a store in Guatemala City. While she is working far from home, my grandmother is watching over me. She is Tomasa de la Cruz; she does the household work and raises hens for selling to get income. We grow corn for our consumption. My father is not in my life, and I do not know anything about him. At the moment, we are not attending any church. Thank God, I am healthy and so is my family.

This is Rocio de Los Angeles Garcia, and my age is 11 years old. This year I am attending 5th grade; I like to attend school because I have a better comprehension of the lessons. I appreciate the effort that my mother makes to support me at school. The teaching profession catches my attention, and I would like to study for it. The language I would like to learn is English; it is so interesting. At Christmas time, I light some firecrackers. I would like to have a cake to celebrate my birthday alongside my mother, grandmother and brother. It will be so special for me. I like to play football in my free time; it is the sport I like the most. I like drinking water because it is healthy. I am so grateful to Living Water for the tasty meals and the dental and medical attention I receive. It is a big blessing for me. At home, we are in need of groceries. Well, this is all for now.
