Hello! I feel so happy to greet you through this letter. I am Hugo Abiel Calixto Palacios Roman, and I want to share with you a little about me. I am eleven years old, and this year, I am in the 5th grade at school. I am receiving classes online and study guides to do at home. I have to put internet data on the cell-phone because I have to use WhatsApp. Sometimes, I do not want to do my homework because I am discouraged by this method of study. The things I missed from the feeding program were the food and sharing time with my friends. The program is about twenty-five minutes from our house. Unfortunately, my father passed away. My mother does the housework, and when she can, she sells any type of product in order to contribute with the incomes. My stepfather is working as a blacksmith, and he is covering our needs. We spend good time as a family when we go out to see a football game.
For Christmas, we prepare a special dinner of ¨tamales¨ (typical dish). My family and I attend Hebron Mount Church, and it is located about five minutes from our house. My grandmother has the privilege to be a deaconess. We live in our own house, and it is made of block walls, cement and tin sheet roof and concrete floor. There is running water and electricity at home. We have four rooms including the kitchen. We would like to fix our house and put in a better floor. Our necessities are food, internet expenses and payment of the services. At the beginning of the pandemic, it affected us because my family did not have much work, and it was difficult to buy our food. Fortunately, it has been a great blessing for us to receive groceries bags from the feeding program. I want you to know that my mother gave this information about me. I thank you for reading my letter. I hope to have news from you soon.
With much love and many blessings,
Hugo Abiel Calixto Palacios Roman
