My Story

I greet you in the name of Jesus hoping you and yours are doing great! My name is Carlos Guillermo Ruiz Gutierrez. I am 15 years old. Unfortunately, I could not continue with my studies due to limited resources of my family. Now, I am working as a day laborer to get some income and help my family. I like to go out with my friends to play football in my free time. My mother usually works in a tortilla shop, and she goes to different places. Meanwhile, I stay under my grandparents’ care. They are elderly and stay at home and my mother provides for our needs. My grandma raises hens and a pig. Since we do not have space to grow anything, we have to buy corn and beans. My father is not in my life because he abandoned us many years ago.

I enjoy the Christmas celebration in the feeding; they prepare a choreography and some games. I thank God for allowing me to be part of the Living Water program and receive my meals which means a great help for me. The food I love the most is hamburger patties. We are attending Catholic Church; my mother and grandmother accepted Jesus as their savior a long time ago. I want to ask for your prayers for my family so that we never lack daily provision and health. This time a member of LW visited us and my grandmother gave this information to update you about me.
