My Story

I am delighted to say hello to you through this letter. I hope you are doing well wherever you are. My name is Juan Carlos, and I am 13 years old. My family and I attend a Christian Church called Joined Assembly of the Holy Spirit. We usually attend our services on Tuesdays and Fridays. Let me tell you that my mom, Maria Salazar Aguilar, is 51 years old. She keeps busy doing the chores and raising hens. She also works in her own grocery store to help with the expenses at home. My father, Manuel Grave, is 79 years old. He makes a living by selling accessories for women in the market on Thursdays and Sundays. Besides that, he grows corn and beans for our consumption. Fortunately, my family is in good health. Some of our needs are groceries.

As for school, let me tell you that I was in seventh grade this year. I love studying, so I enjoyed attending face-to-face classes. By God’s grace, my parents could cover my school supplies. My biggest dream is to travel to the United States when I am older. My favorite holiday is Christmas because I have fun burning firecrackers. When my birthday comes, I love having a tasty lunch to celebrate with my family. My favorite drink is water, and I love soccer. I would love to speak a new language like English. I hope to accomplish it someday. To end this letter, I want you to know that my mom helped me to give all this information to a teacher of LW. I say goodbye to you for now, but thank you so much for taking the time to read my letter. May God bless you bountifully!

Special regards,

Juan Carlos Grave Salazar
