My Story

Hello, it is a beautiful day to greet you through this letter! Praise the Lord my family and I attend Ebenezer Restoration Church; we go on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. I trust my salvation in God. My family and I are in good health, thanks to the Lord. My mother is Iliria de la Cruz Benito, and she is 38 years old. She stays busy with the duties at home, and she also raises hens and pigs to sell when we have some need. My father is Rene Garcia Benito, and he is 40 years old. He is employed as both a farmer and a day laborer; he supplies the family needs. At home, we grow corn and black beans for the family's consumption.

I am Kelly Shamanta Garcia de la Cruz, and I am a 12-year-old girl. This year I was in 5th grade; I received my classes at school, and it was easy for me to comprehend the lessons. Fortunately, I study in a public school and there are not many expenses, so my parents did not have trouble buying what I needed during the year. I hope to grow up and look for a job, work hard and help my family with the expenses. The English language catches my attention, and I would like to learn how to speak it. I love drinking milk, and it is my favorite beverage. The sport I like the most is football. The season I wait for anxiously is the windy time in October and November because I can fly kites with my friends. On my birthday, my family prepares a lunch and buys a cake for me; it makes me so happy. I take this opportunity to give thanks for all the support I receive through Living Water; I am so blessed to be part of the program. The greatest needs are groceries, and corn. This is all for now. Many and rich blessings to you!

Bunch of hugs,

Kelly Shamanta Garcia de la Cruz
