Hello! Good afternoon! How are you? I send you a cordial greeting. I hope you are in good health. I want to share with you a little about my family and me. Thank God, we are well. My father works in a vegetable stall in Guatemala City. He comes to visit us every three months and he covers the home expenses. My mother works with a lady and she weaves typical clothes. This year, I was in 1st grade and I really liked to attend school. My desire is to learn how to write and read well. I help my mother with the chores at home. I like to play dolls with my siblings.
The happiest time for me is Christmas because we prepare ¨tamales¨ (typical dish) and we share good time in our family. When I grow up, I would like to work and have my own money. I have four sisters and three brothers; my older sister is married and lives apart. My family and I attend Assembly of God Church; I like to sing praises and pray. Thank you for supporting me through the feeding program because it is a great blessing for me. I can receive food, medical attention and a Christmas gift. I say goodbye to you for now. Take care of yourself. I hope to hear from you soon.
In Jesus name,
Maria Calachij Guarcas
