My Story

Hello! My name is Valentina Hoxha. I am 3 years old and my birthday is on January. I am doing well and in good health. My favorite color is red and my future dream is to become medical doctor. I enjoy drawing and coloring and I also enjoy playing with dolls. I go to preschool kindergarten where I spend the first part of my day. I enjoy my time there together with my friends who frequent. We take lessons to read and write and afterwards we spend a lot of time doing games and other activities that I enjoy being part of. I come from kindergarten at midday and like to spend some time playing outside with my friends who live near my house, and after this time, I go inside the house again and spend time watching cartoons on television, or coloring the books that my parents have bought for me. I live in a village not very far from the town of Prrenjas. The village I live in is small and the people are mostly farmers. They provide by planting in the land they own and keep animals for benefits. Since farming is very less beneficial and the income is low most of the men choose emigration for better income to provide best for their families. Our family has four members, who are my parents, my baby sister and I. Our house is in good conditions of living. My parents own land in the village but they are not dealing quite a whole lot with planting. My mother and father plant only vegetables for consumption in our family and my father cares also for several fruit trees we have in our land. Instead of working in the land, my father has chosen to work in emigration so he can provide for our family needs. He is working six months withing the year and the income that he receives there is used to cover all of our needs. Even that we are not too poor, we face financial hardships and are challenged in other ways.  I frequent the sponsorship program of Adopt a Child. I receive food packages constantly from the program and follow all the activities that we have during the week, organized by the church. I am thankful to the program for the physical and spiritual care that is offered. Thank you very much for your care to me and God bless you!
