My Story

Hello! I am sending this letter just for you. This is Santos Edilson, and I greet you in Jesus’ name hoping you are doing well. We have accepted Jesus in our hearth, and we are members of the Catholic Church; we attend the mass twice a week. My father works as a mechanic in a nearby town to support the family. His name is Jose, and he is 36 years old. My mother works as a weaver. Her name is Isabel, and she is 30 years old. Thankfully, they both are healthy. We are a humble family, and our greatest needs are groceries and clothes. We have hens at home, but we do not sow crops because we do not have a piece of land for it.

I am healthy, and I am 12 years old. This year, I am attending 6^th grade, and I prefer face-to-face classes because it is easier to learn the lessons. It has been difficult for my parents to cover my school expenses because they do not earn much money. My dream is to become a mechanic, and I would like to learn English language. My favorite sport is soccer, and I love drinking coffee. I enjoy my birthday because I receive a present and can break a small “piñata”. Holy Week celebration is nice for me because I eat the traditional bread with honey. Living Water is a great blessing for me because we are supported with delicious lunches through the feeding program. I say goodbye to you for now hoping to have news from you soon.
