My Story

This is Gloria Esperanza Grave Gutierrez, and I am writing this to update my 2023 information. First, I will tell you about my family. We are still members of Christian Life Church, and we attend the services on Tuesday and Saturday. We are assured of our Salvation. We raise hens, pigs and sheep, and we sell them when we are in need of money. We grow corn and black beans, and they are for our consumption. We are a humble family, so we are frequently in need of groceries. My father’s name is Antonio. He is 57 years old, and he is in good health. He works as a farmer and day laborer to support the family. My mother’s name is Isabel. She is 50 years old, and she is in good health too. She works hard at home and takes care of us. The whole family goes to pick coffee beans at the coast from November to March.

Now let me tell you a little about myself. I am 19 years old, and I am healthy. I no longer attend school because it is difficult for my teacher to teach me due to my hearing and speech problems. I now stay at home helping my mother with the chores. My favorite celebration is Christmas because I enjoy eating the traditional “tamales and ponche” with my family. When we have the resources, we celebrate my birthday with a delicious lunch and a cake. I love drinking sodas like Pepsi. Living Water and you are very important in my life because you blessed me in a big way. I end my letter wishing you the best.

With much love
