This is Wendy Mishell Tzoy Ruiz, and I am happy to introduce myself to you through this. I hope you are healthy. I am fourteen years old. This year I am in 7th grade, and taking face-to-face classes at school three times per week. Doing schoolwork and learning topics from classes which the teachers explained, turned difficult to me last year. The time the feeding program was closed due to the pandemic, I missed a lot attending activities there. For me to get there, it takes fifteen minutes. To earn a living, my mom works doing the cleaning at the house of other people. Thanks to it, she provides for our household expenses. My father abandoned my family some time ago. He is not providing for us economically. My family and I get together in the afternoons, so we enjoy eating homemade snacks to spend time and talk. We did celebrate Christmas by making tamales which we all enjoyed eating with the family. We are members in the Catholic Church that is located ten minutes away from home by walking. We got sad the time the church was closed due to the pandemic, for we were not able to carry out activities.
We own two-room house with separate kitchen. It is made of mud-brick, tin sheet roof and dirt floor. It has running water, but it does not have electricity, so a relative of us, provides it to us and we pay for it every month. The house is in good condition. Pandemic affected my mom’s work, therefore, my family’s economy. I thank to the feeding program for the grocery bags we received in difficult time. It was all a great help and blessing for my family and me. Corn is a greatest need at home. I ask you to please pray for us to not have lack of it. Thank you for your prayers. I pray God to bless you and your family. At the moment, my family and I are all doing well, thanks to God. To finish, I want you to know, my mom gave this information to an Evangelism team member to share with you my last news. I say good bye to you for now. Thank you for taking time and reading this.
Yours truly,
Wendy Mishell Tzoy Ruiz
