My full name is Victor Leonel Hernandez Acuta and I am so excited to share a little bit about my updated information with you. I am a healthy 10-year-old boy and I attend the fourth grade at school. I prefer hot rather than cold weather because I like eating cold things like ice creams or granizadas (shaved ice with sweet or salt flavors). I have attended the feeding program for about five years and what I like the most about the bible classes are the games. My family is really grateful for all the blessings that my brother and I have received from LW-Adopt A Child. I tell you that I live with my mother, but my young brother continues living with my grandmother and her son. My mother makes a living as a domestic employee in the city. She works hard to support my brother and me financially. I occasionally travel with her, but I mostly stay in Duenas and my grandmother takes care of me. She rents a room at home and sells edible herbs and coffee beans that she grows herself to survive. She occasionally works by making tortillas to get an extra income.
Fortunately, my uncle Marvin Acuta and his wife Silvia help her with the expenses since they live at her house. My uncle makes a living as a Christian musician and has a modest business where he sells vegetables and butchered chicken, while his wife works as an accountant. About my spiritual life, I tell you that I have attended a Christian Church called Palabra Viva because my aunt takes me there. She feels motivated to go to this church because she likes the spiritual guidance that they provide her. She told me that she learned that Jesus saved us from sins and gave us eternal life, but she also knows that we must have a good behavior here on earth to be admitted into Heaven. Sister Princesa (a member of the LW staff) recently encouraged her to continue being obedient to God and spread the good news by means of her life. It is time to say goodbye, but I kindly ask you to pray for my whole family so that God keeps us healthy and safe. Until next time!
From the bottom of my heart,
Victor Leonel Hernandez Acuta
