Child
My full name is Juan Luis Gonzalez Suy and I am so happy to share my updated information with you through this letter. I turned 12 years old in July and I attend the fifth grade. Fortunately, I am keeping well. I usually do homework and help my mother to clean our house when I come back from school. I prefer cold rather than hot weather because I like going to bed and bundling up. I tell you that I have received the benefits from LW-Adopt A Child for about five years. My father encouraged my mother to enroll me in the feeding program because he and his siblings also had the opportunity to enjoy their meals at the feeding program. He even remembers that he liked to receiving extra portions of food. Today, he is a healthy man who makes a living as a farmer and strives to bring food home.
While he goes to work, my mother keeps busy doing the chores and taking care of me. Please pray for her health condition. She has gastritis and fatty liver. Fortunately, she already goes to the public clinics for her checkups and treatment. We are a Catholic family and feel motivated to attend our church because we receive meaningful spiritual guidance. To end this letter, I tell you that sister Princesa (a member of the LW staff) recently shared the gospel with my mother and talked with her about how she can be assured about getting into Heaven. My mother thinks that being in the grace of God and doing good work are important aspects to assure her eternal salvation. Sister Princesa agreed with her and added that we have to be obedient and trust in Jesus as our Savior. I say goodbye to you now, but I hope you enjoyed my letter. Have a wonderful day!
With much love,
Juan Luis Gonzalez Suy
