Hello!
It is a privilege for me to greet you through this letter. My name is Julio Oswaldo Ajqui Perez and let me tell you that I am 12 years old. This year, I am in fifth grade. Fortunately, I receive face-to-face classes from Monday to Friday, and this is a blessing for me. Last year, I did not have many days of classes, which affected me because I did not learn enough, but I am striving a lot to improve. My father works as a carpenter to cover our expenses while my mother cleans our home, prepares delicious meals, and raises some hens. After finishing our occupations, we gather in the afternoon and spend time talking to each other. My family and I attend a Christian Church, and we do not celebrate Christmas because of our religious beliefs. Unfortunately, our church had to keep closed for a few months since our country was on lockdown due to the pandemic, and we felt so sad. Fortunately, this works as usual, and my father has the opportunity to serve as a deacon. We usually walk for 20 minutes from our home to be there. We live in our own house made of adobe walls, tin sheet roof, and concrete floors. It has three rooms, a separate kitchen, electricity, and a well.
Our economy has still been affected by many difficulties worldwide besides Covid-19. Essential food like corn and clothes are high in price, and because of that, I would like to ask for your prayers. Despite this, I am so grateful to the Lord because my whole family and I are in good health. Besides that, I want to tell you that God has blessed us through you and Living Water, especially when we have needed it the most. When the feeding program was closed, I missed going there, but I know that the staff had to do it to keep us safe. Fortunately, the program is open again, and I am so happy to attend it again. When my brother and I go there, we usually walk for an hour, but if we go there on a scooter, we get there in ten minutes. Finally, let me tell you that my mother gave this information to an evangelism team member to share with you my last news. I send you my best wishes and many hugs, but I would like to hear from you soon.
Sincerely yours,
Julio Owsaldo Ajqui Perez
