My Story

I am Dulce Gabriela Martinez Arias. It is a joy for me to say hello to you through this. I am fourteen years old. This year I am in 7th grade, and currently, I am attending school three days per week. In the days I go to school, I hand in my homework to the teacher. Last year I was assigned schoolwork, so it turned difficult to me because the teachers did not explain me well. The thing I missed a lot from the feeding program was, the tasty food and talking to people who attended us at the table. For me to get there, it takes fifty minutes by walking. To earn a living, my mom cleans houses and offices to provide for us financially. I do not have my father´s support for he abandoned us time ago. Sometimes, my family and I go to the park, but most of the time, we stay home. We do not usually celebrate Christmas due to the lack of money, so the three of us stay home together on this day only. Currently, my family and I are attending Jehovah's garden. We get there in twenty minutes. Sometimes I am asked to receive the offerings and stand at the door in the church. We got sad the time the church was closed due to the pandemic, for we were not able to get together with our brethren.

We rent a house with one room. It is made of cement block, terrace roof and granite floor. It has running water and electricity, and we cook the meals within the room we sleep in. The house is in good condition. Let me tell you that I ran out of work during the pandemic, so we had lack of food, and we did not have money to pay the rent of the house. As food supplies, money to pay the rent of the house, the study expenses, and a bunk bed is a greatest need at home, I thank to the feeding program for the grocery bags we received in difficult time, which was all a great help for my family and me. I want to ask you to please pray for us to not have lack of the rest of the things at home. Thanks in advance for your prayers. I also pray God to watch over you and your family. Thank you! At the moment, my family and I are doing well, thanks to God. Finally, I want you to know, my mom gave this information in person, to an Evangelism team member who visited us at home, to share with you my last news. I say good bye to you for now. It was a pleasure for me to get in touch through this.

Affectionately,

Dulce Gabriela Martinez Arias
