My Story

Hello! I am so excited to tell you about my life. My name is Henry Jehovany De La Cruz Hernandez and I am 10 years old. This year, I am in third grade and I go to school for classes once a week. I have to send homework by means of WhatsApp every other day. This study method has been difficult for me because I think that I am not learning enough. My father continues farming the land for covering our needs; he does not have a stable job, but he struggles a lot for us. Fortunately, my brother works making firewood to help him a little with the expenses. On the other hand, my mother works hard doing the chores and taking care of my siblings. Covid-19 has affected my siblings’ studies because I think that they are not learning enough. Fortunately, God has kept us safe from the virus.

I also want to tell you that we received grocery bags from Living Water. They were a great blessing for my whole family. So, I am so grateful to you for supporting and loving us through the feeding program. My family and I are in good health, except for my mother because she has some problems with her vision. We have not been able to take her to a doctor due to our lack of economic resources, but I trust that God is going to put his healing hands over her. Nowadays, we do not attend any church, but I hope to someday. Finally, let me tell you that my mother Marcela Hernandez, assisted a member of the AAC-team to update this information about me by phone since the staff want to protect us from the current pandemic. I leave you for now, but I hope to write you soon.

From the bottom of my heart,

Henry Jehovany De La Cruz Hernandez
