Hello! How are you? I hope you are doing well. It is a great happiness for me to write you this letter and tell you a little about me. My father works as a mason; he build houses. Thank God, he has a job. My mother is a homemaker. There are five children in the family, but there is only one girl. I am attending school in the mornings and I am in second grade this year. I like to attend school because I learn new things. I only sometimes play during the recess. When I am older, I would like to work and help my family with some of our home expenses. I do not help with the household chores much because I spend my time playing with my cousins. For this reason, my mother sometimes scolds me.
My parents do not attend a church, and I do not know why, but I have more time to play with my cousins. I tell you that we are all fine, but I want to ask you to pray for my brother who broke one of his bones. He is five years old and we hope he recovers soon. We only go out as a family when it is Zacualpa’s fair. There are mechanical rides and many other things. For Christmas, we prepare “tamales” (typical dish), spend good moments together, and I light firecrackers with my brother Edwin. I ask you to keep us in your prayers. I know you do your best to support me and I really appreciate it. Take care of yourself and I pray God blesses you. I send you a huge hug.
With much love
Alex Geovany Mucia Sohom
