My Story

Hello! My name is Arsida Agastra. I am 37 years old and my birthday is on November 2^nd. I am doing well and my health is good. I was born and lived in the town of Pogradec, till I got married to my husband and we lived in a village of the district of Korca. My husband and I have two children, a boy and a girl. My daughter is 14 years old and my son in 10 years old. My husband died in a very young age, due to an un healed illness. This happened before 8 years. Our children were very little and we were supported from the family of my husband for several years. Afterwards, I have returned to live in the town of Pogradec in the house of my parents. In fact, I returned to live in their house before two years. They gave me a room in their home and we have what we need for our stay. I have only worked before for two years in a fashioner place but I had to quit because of the situation in my family. Losing my husband, and afterwards, quitting work has brought to me a very serious financial situation and we face poverty. Even that my children are being raised as orphans, without their father, the social department gives to them a very little amount. I spend all day carrying for my children while they go to school, and when I am in the house, I also do my best to care for both my parents who have opened their house to me. I clean, cook, do the housework and a lot of other things. During the evenings, I like to take both children for walks around the town and bring them to the parks to play for a while. Summers, especially weekends are very busy in our town and the roads fill with a lot of people who enjoy their walks by the lake. I started to require help from Adopt a Child and from the Living Water Church recently. They offered to register me and my two children in the program and from now on, we will receive food packages every two months. I am very happy for this kind of help to us. I also like for my children to go to the Bible classes so they can learn about God. Thank you for helping me and my children in any way. God bless you for your generosity and care.
