Jocotenango, where your child lives, is in the state of Sacatepequez, Guatemala and is a suburb of Antigua. It is an urban environment and is inhabited by both Quiche Mayans and Ladinos (those with mixed European ancestry). Most of the children attend school, but financial hardship affects many families and forces most of the children to leave after the sixth grade. Only one out of ten children finish high school. Children in this area face temptations from gangs and drugs.
Hello! This is Angel David Andre Arana Pascual and I was born on September 12, 2019 in Antigua Guatemala. I am 7 years old and I am in good health. My parent`s names are Edvin Andre Arana Diaz and Sucely Noemi Pascual Pedro. My dad earns a living by painting and installing drywall and false ceilings, and my mom is a housewife and takes care of us. I only have one brother and he also is registered in the Feeding Program. We believe in God and we congregate in the Catholic Church. We are a needy family and our priority needs are groceries.
I am in kindergarten this year. My past time is to play soccer. I love the color red and dogs. My favorite meal are beans. We live in my maternal great-grandfather`s house and he is living with us. Moreover, my paternal grandmother and her brother live in the house. Fortunately, they share the payments for the electricity and running water with my father. We have four rooms made of concrete block with tin sheet roof and cemented floor. We have a separated kitchen. We also have two cats and one dog. We also would like to have chicks because we have enough space for them in the house. My mother accompanies us to the Project and we walk for 5 minutes to come. My family and I are grateful to be part of this and I hope you enjoy reading my personal information. Blessings to you!
A bunch of kisses,
Angel David Andre Arana Pascual
