My Story

Hello! My name is Uendi. I am 5 years old, and my birthday is on September. I am doing well and my health is good. My favorite color is pink, and my future dream is to become a police officer. I like to spend many hours playing with dolls. I also like to sing and draw. I go to preschool kindergarten where I spend the first part of the day with my classmates and friends. We learn many new things and to read, write and count. The kindergarten has closed for the summer break, and I hope that I will start the first grade of school in September. Meanwhile, I enjoy playing outside every morning, before it gets too hot. When I stay inside the house, I like to play with my dolls, listen to music and paint.

I live in the town of Pogradec and we have the lake very near the house. When my parents are free from working, we go and spend a few hours at the lake, and I swim. The walks during the evenings are also a tradition in our town. I enjoy going for walks every evening together with my mother and my brothers. My family consists of my father, mother, stepbrother and younger brother. My stepbrother is 15 and my other brother is four. I like to spend time playing together with my younger brother with our games and toys, while we are in the house. My brother also registered same as me in the program and we are happy to learn about the Lord and receive help in food. We have many friends from the program, and I enjoy going to the Bible classes with them, while my mother stays for the church service. My father goes to work for a season in Greece where he is hired to collect fruits from trees. He gets hired in various jobs, like in construction, etc. We are happy he can go and work there so he can provide for our family. My mother is also working only during the summer months. She is hired in a hotel as cleaning lady. Her pay is very low and the time she gets to work only for two or three months. My older brother is a stepbrother because my mother was married before and got divorced. My older stepbrother has a quiet character and is very thoughtful. He goes to school and does his best to care for my younger brother and for me. We love and respect him. We are not very poor, but we live with very low income and for this reason, we have seen the help of Adopt a Child as a big blessing to us all. Thank you from our hearts for the physical and spiritual help you give to us and God bless you!
