My Story

Hello! I am Amar. I am happy to share with you about myself and family going through the questions that the Adopt a Child team asks of me to answer. I am 3 years old and my birthday is on November. I am doing well and in good health. My favorite color is red and my future dream is to become medical doctor. I go to kindergarten where we stay learning and playing for the first part of the day. I like to draw and I am learning slowly to count and recognize letters. We learn many songs and poems by heart, but I like the most the time we sit and color different drawings. I like to be outside playing for a while, but not for too long. At present, we have lots of rain and days are getting colder. When I play outside, I have other friends who live near by and we get together to play with ball, do run races, etc. I have a brother and we spend a lot of time playing together, after he finishes studying the lessons of school. When he studies, I like to draw and afterwards we play inside the house together. I live in a village near Prrenjas. My family contains six members and our house offers appropriated living conditions. The persons in my family are my father, mother, older brother as well as my grandparents who live in our house. We own land and deal with agriculture but not as much as we used to deal before. We have decided to raise no animals and for this reason, my mother is only planting vegetables for consumption. Around our land and garden, we have also fruit trees. My father works constantly in Northern Macedonia in construction. He has his own car to travel to this country and return in the house within the same day. He provides enough income for us to fulfill our needs for the living, but we are still challenged and our needs are many to be met. Both my grandparents are retired and receive small pensions from their previous jobs in agriculture. My mother cares for them. I go to the church of the program and follow the activities that are going on for children. My brother is also registered and we go together in the Bible classes. We receive food packages constantly and are happy that these packages are a good provision of food for our whole family.
