My Story

Hello! My name is Alvisa. My birthday is on April and I am 3 years old. My health is good. My favorite color is white. I have lots of dreams and desires, same as all the children same age as me. I like to dress nice and clean, especially when I go to kindergarten. I frequent kindergarten for the first part of the day and enjoy my time there with my classmates. I have many new friends now as we stay together playing as well as learning new things from our kindergarten teachers. I like to go and play outside with my friends who live near my house. I have an older sister and we spend a lot of time playing together in front of our house. We take our dolls out to play and do lots or other games like hide and seek, jump with elastics, play with ball, etc. When we enter inside the house, while my sister studies her school books, I like to draw and color, so I am not disturbing her during her studying. I have a brother who is still a baby. He is several months old. My sister and I love him and we often watch over him while our mother gets busy with cleaning, cooking or working in our garden. I like to follow my mother when she goes to the groceries store and buys what we need and I usually ask her to buy for me fresh drinks or other sweets. I share all I have with my sister, since we are close in our age. She is a year older and sometimes, we also like to exchange our clothes. I like to dress her blouses and shirts and she wears mine as well. I live in a village that belongs to the community of Pogradec. Our village is far from the town, but we travel there whenever we need to be there to receive community services, get visits in hospitals, buy things that are missing in the shops of the village etc. I go to town rarely but I enjoy going there and seeing the difference that it has compared to our village. I have five members in my family who are my father, mother, my older sister and younger brother. My sister started school and she is also registered in the sponsorship program. My sister and I frequent the activities of the program regularly. We enjoy learning about the Lord and we benefit food packages as physical help to us and our family. My family owns land and deal with farming, but what is gained from planting is very less. My mother usually plants vegetables in our garden and we have fruit trees. My father is emigrating for a season or two during the year and works to provide for us in places like Greece or Macedonia. We miss him when he goes to work in these countries, but we are happy that he works and has this opportunity. My mother gets hired mainly in agriculture and earns enough income to provide for our basic needs. My mother is housekeeper. She cares for us and as well busy with gardening, cleaning, cooking, etc. Our house is in good conditions of living. We are living with very low income and I am thankful to the program of Adopt a Child for the help they offer to us, spiritually and physically. God bless you!
