My Story

Hello and greetings. Thank you for reading my history which I am telling by asking the questions that the team of Adopt a Child is asking me and my mother. My name is Mariglen and I am 10 years old. My birthday is on January 16^th. I am a healthy child. My favorite color is blue. So far, I have not thought what I like to become in the future. I go to school where I spend the first part of my day. I enjoy studying and learning and I am doing well in all the subjects. I engage with my friends during the class breaks and we have a good time of conversation, play games and have a lot of fun. I return in the house around midday. Sometimes my mother comes to school to walk me back in the house and some times my grandmother comes. I enjoy walking and my best hour of the day is the hour in which we take these walks, during the evenings. I and my sister enjoy walking in the park and playing together. My sister is three years old and when my mother gets too busy, I like to care for her. I give her attention always and watch her playing with dolls. My family contains five persons who are my father, mother, sister and grandmother. My father has abundant the family and lives in Greece. My grandmother speaks to him by phone so that he can return and join our family, but he has not come. He lives in another country and I have not seen him for a very long period of time. My grandmother has decided to care for me, my sister and mother. She has only her pension that we use for food and whatever is most needed. I am very happy that we are going to benefit food from the sponsorship program. My sister is also registered and together, every six weeks, we will get two food packages, which means about 24 meals provided for our whole family. I go every Sunday at the Bible class in the same time that my grandmother or mother stay for the service of church.
