Child
My name is Ajvi Bego and I am very happy to share about myself and my family through this update that is taken by the Adopt a Child team. I am 6 years old and my birthday is on May. I am doing well and in good health. My favorite color is green and my future dream is to become police. I frequented preschool kindergarten till June and on September, I will start the first grade of school. I am all excited about starting school. I will meet with my new class friends and with my teacher of first grade. My parents are going to buy for me some new clothes for the school start as well as supplies and a school bag. Meanwhile, I am spending the summer in the village. I like to get up early in the morning to meet and play with my friends. I have a bicycle and I like to cycle around in the road that is close to my house. My friends and I meet during the mornings or evenings because we have hot summers in our country. When I am inside the house, I like to play with toys or watch programs for children on television. I also like to help my mother and go where she asks me to get things for her. I also like to follow my mother when she goes shopping so I can carry the bags together with her. I live in a village that belongs to the community of Pogradec. We go to this town when we need to receive documents from the community, get visits from the specialist doctors, do shopping, etc. Very rarely, I also like to go there to just visit the town with my family so we can take walks by the lake or have a fresh drink. My house in the village is in good condition of living. We own our land and my parents do quite a lot of planting so that they have food provision enough for our cow. My mother feeds the cow during the summer in the fields and we feed it inside during the winter. We gain milk, dairy and from time to time, we sell the claves delivered to earn a bit more of income. Even that the animals need a lot of effort to look after them, parents are happy to spend their time raising them because this is a way to benefit products for consumption. Around the land and garden we have fruit trees. When time comes, we collect the fruits and my mother lets them dry or boils them to make juice or jam. My father is constantly emigrating and working in Greece for a season or two during the year. He is hired by the people there in construction and he provides for us well through his job there. When he is in the village, he is also hired by the people who do maintenance in their houses but working here he gets a small pay. We are not too poor, but we live with very low income and are challenged in many other ways, living in a remote area. I frequent the Bible classes of the program and enjoy learning about the Lord. I receive constantly food packages and am happy that Adopt a Child is providing for me spiritual and physical care. Thank you from my heart and God bless you!
