My Story

Thank you for reading my story, created from the team of Adopt a Child, after asking questions to me. My name is Dajza Malo. I am 3 years old and my birthday is on September. I am doing well and considered healthy child. My favorite color is red. I like this color because it symbolizes love and I am loving child to my friends and family. My future dream is to become teacher. I love my kindergarten teacher and I like to become just like her. I frequent kindergarten for the first part of the day and enjoy being there with my other class friends. We take time to learn new things, do drawings and painting, sing songs and our teacher takes us outside to spend time playing. We have dolls and toys at kindergarten that I can play with and it is nice to share them with my friends. My mother takes me back from the kindergarten and as soon as I am in the house, I like to stay outside to play with my other friends who live near. We do running, play with elastics, hide and seek and other typical games for girls. I have an older sister and she plays together with me or cares for me during the time that my mother gets too busy cooking, cleaning or working in our land. Our family is contained from my father, mother, my sister and I. We live in a village and the town next is Perrenjas. We visit the town every time we have a need for shopping or something that has to do with services received from the community of this town. We own land in the family and my parents plant vegetables for consumption. My parents deal with agriculture, but what is benefited is too less therefore my father emigrates in order to provide income for our family. He has emigrated constantly in Greece and works in construction for several months. He is providing enough income for our family so we can make it through the month, but we are still facing a lot of needs and live with very low income. I am registered in the sponsorship program and constantly we receive food packages from Adopt a Child. I frequent the Bible classes and church services, going to the program center twice a week with my mother and sister.
