My Story

Hello! This is your sponsored child, Pedro Angel Alexander Ordonez Calachij. I am so excited to send you this short update. It has been a lovely year, and I thank God for all the blessings He has given us. This year, I am attending school and I am in second grade. I am 8 years old now. The most difficult time in my life was when my father left to go to the United States. God has given me peace during this time. For me, Jesus is my Savior. I identify with my grandmother because she gives me food and I like it. My best friend is Santiago. We like to play soccer. We have had a friendship since we were young.

As you know, both parents are living and working in the United States. They are in touch with us and faithfully send us money for our expenses. They earn a living by feeding cattle there. I live with my maternal grandparents. My grandfather is Eulalio and he works as a day laborer.  My grandmother is Martina, and she spends time doing her chores and taking care of me. They cover my needs with the money that my parents send. My family attends a Christian church called “Iglesia de Cristo”. My favorite activity is the church anniversary. My grandmother helped me to provide my information. The evangelism teachers shared the gospel with her. She is sure of her salvation. They encouraged her to continue trusting in God. God bless you!
