Chixocol
Guatemala
Child
Chixocol, where your child lives, is a very small village nestled in a mountain valley in the state of Quiche, Guatemala. Life in this state is very difficult and somewhat isolated from the outside world. Most families live in one-room adobe houses with dirt floors and a small attached kitchen. The extremely poor live in houses made of corn stalks. In the past few years electricity and water have become available to most people in the area - however, indoor plumbing is very rare. Most of the families are farmers or shepherds and live off the fruits of their labors. Public education is available for those who can afford it and consider it of value. Life in Quiche is always a challenge
It is a great day to say hello and tell you a little bit about my family. My older sister helped me to give this information to the LW Evangelism teacher. My name is Adam Gael Guadalupe de la Cruz De La Cruz. I was born on October 31st, 2020. I will turn 4 years soon. I live with my father Carlos Anibal De La Cruz Barillas. He is a driver and has his own tuk tuk. My mother´s name is Olga De La Cruz Jimon. She is housewife, and she is dedicated to taking care of us. I have 4 siblings, one brother and three sisters. We attend a Christian Church. We live in our own house. It has four rooms and a separate kitchen. The house is made of adobe walls and a tin sheet roof with granite floor. We have running water and electricity. My parents pay for the running water every year and for the electricity every month. We have some domestic animals at home. I am in nursery school. I like it so much when we can visit the pools in my town, and I like playing with toy cars in my free time. My favorite color is light blue, and I like cats. I like many foods, but if you asked me what my favorite food is, I would say it is eggs with sausages. We get to the feeding program in a tuk tuk in 5 minutes. With much love and many blessings.
In Jesus name,
Adam Gael Guadalupe de la Cruz De La Cruz
