My Story

Hello, good afternoon! It is such a blessing to share a little bit about my life with you. My full name is Marta Alicia Angelica Calachij Gomez and I am 15 years old. I have attended the feeding program for many years, which has been wonderful. What I like the most is receiving Bible lessons because I learn new verses. My parents are grateful to LW-Adopt A Child for providing me food for free. Nobody else would do what this organization has done for many children and teenagers of my village. The medicine and Christmas gifts are also a great blessing. Thank you so much for making their social work possible with your donations! I prefer hot weather rather than cold because it helps my body to keep warm while I walk to school in the morning. Thankfully, I am in good health and I am in sixth grade.

I usually help my mother to wash the dishes and sweep. I attend the Catholic Church alongside my parents and feeling the loving presence of God encourages us to continue persevering there. As you know, my father is the main supporter of my family. He is a healthy man, who makes a living as a day laborer and farmer. Thankfully, he has assurance of his salvation because he received Jesus in his heart a while ago. Could you please pray for my mother? She is recovering from a surgery where doctors removed a hernia from her stomach. To end this letter, I want you to know that my father helped me to provide all this information to sister Lizeth (a member of the LW staff) She took advantage of the opportunity to encourage us to continue looking for God.
