Zacualpa is a small but busy village in a mountain valley. The village is inhabited by both Quiché Indians and Ladinos (those with mixed European ancestry). The prevalent language is Spanish. Families in this village live in one or two room homes generally constructed of either wood or adobe. Although many of the people are farmers, the village contains several small, specialized stores, a body repair shop for buses, mechanics, plumbers and many other smalltown tradesmen. It also has a large open-air market which serves much of the area. Even with all of this, the poverty level is very high, and the children are very needy.
Hello! I am glad to greet you today. I bless you in the name of Jesus hoping you are doing great. My name is Yoselin Natalia Musia Vicente. I was born on May 27, 2017, I am 7 years old. I am in the 1st grade at school. My favorite color is pink, and the animal I like the most is the cat. I love tasting fried chicken. In my free time, I like playing with dolls. I am a healthy girl. As a family, we attend the Prince of Peace Church.
My father is Gerardo Musia de la Cruz. He covers our needs by working as a mason. My mother is Josefina Vicente Chan, and she is a housewife. I have three brothers and three sisters. One brother and one sister are registered in the feeding program too. We attend together and walk for 15 minutes. Thankfully, all my family is healthy. Corn and food are the greatest needs in my family. My father owns a three-room house with a separate kitchen. It is made of tin sheet roof, adobe wall and cemented floor. We have electricity and running water that my father pays for. We do not have any domestic animals at home. Lastly, I want you to know that my mother provided this information for you. May God bless you today and always! Take care!
With love,
Yoselin Natalia Musia Vicente
