My Story

I fondly greet you, hoping the grace of the Lord be with you. My full name is Marta Emelin de la Cruz Us and I am pleased to tell you my updated information. I am 9 years old and fortunately, I am in good health. I attend the third grade at school and I usually clean the kitchen to contribute to the household duties. I prefer hot rather than cold weather because I like playing with water alongside my young sister, Sheily. I tell you that I have attended the feeding program for about two years. My mother had the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of this project when she was a child. What she liked the most was participating in the youth group and soccer championships.

Due to her nice experience, she felt encouraged to take my sister and me there. Today, she is a healthy housewife and raises domestic animals to sell. We have chickens and pigs at home. While she keeps busy at home, my father works hard as a farmer and day laborer to bring food and cover other needs. I tell you that we are members of a Methodist Church called Rock of Salvation. Our main motivation to go there is learning more about God. My mother is grateful to sister Yojana (a member of the LW staff) because of the encouraging words she received to keep going in her faith. I am pleased to tell you that she accepted Jesus in her heart and has assurance about her salvation. It is time to say goodbye, but I hope to hear from you soon. May God bless you!
