My Story

Thank you for reading the history of this child and for choosing to sponsor. The history is written from the Adopt a Child staff, after asking questions to the child and to one of his parents who is present while we feel the registration application.

Hello! My name is Arli Spahi. I am 5 years old and my birthday is on June 20^th. I am doing well regarding my health. I like a lot of colors and to choose one is difficult for me, so out of all I will chose red. My future dream is to be a police. I frequent the preschool kindergarten for the first part of the day. I walk every morning together with my mother to kindergarten and she comes to get me at midday. I enjoy learning the time I spend at kindergarten. We learn to read, write and count, we draw and color and we also learn a lot of poems by heart and songs at kindergarten. Now that the weather is nice, our teacher takes my friends and I to play outside for a while and we enjoy playing our games in the nature. I like animals and when I return in the house from kindergarten, I like to be together with my friends while they feed them or care for them. We have a horse in our house and my father collect with it wood in the mountain. He and other man collect wood and they sell it to the people who come to collect. The wood is used for fire by the people who come to buy from my father and from other man who do the same job that my father does to earn a bit income for our family. I spend part of my day watching cartoons and I like the cartoons that have animals as characters such as cats and dogs. I like to listen to my mother so that I can do what she days to me to do. When she is asking me to do the homework we receive from the teachers of kindergarten, I obey. I also like to follow her in the shop so that I can help her when she is buying things as groceries. My mother is dealing with housekeeping. She gets busy doing cleaning, cooking and washes our clothes. My mother is also working in the garden and in our land. My parents own land and they plant vegetables for consumption in the family, crops as well as other greens that are used to feed our animals. My family and I live in Dunica, Upper Mokra. Same as all the people who live in our area, we are poor and financially challenged. Most of the men emigrate to make better income and provide for their families and my father has emigrated from time to time to work for a season in Greece. He works in agriculture there. When he goes, my mother and I miss him very much. I come to the Bible classes of the program together with my mother. I like to listen to the Bible stories and to answer to the questions at the end of the lessons. I am happy that I receive help in food from Adopt a Child.
