My Story

Hello! I send you every kind of blessing, and it is a blessing for me to tell you that I have been blessed through LW Adopt-A-Child because I was registered in the Project two years ago because a friend of my father told him that many children were being blessed with Christmas gifts. My mother took me, so my parents are thankful for every support and blessing for me.

I am Evelin Lucrecia Morales Ixtuc and I am fourteen. I am in 7^th grade this year. I love cold weather because I take advantage of this to drink hot beverages. I help my mother to make tortillas and to sweep. I also feed her chicks. I like the youth group from my church, and as you know, we are members of Prince of Peace Christian Church. As a family, we enjoy the visit from our pastors and leaders. They visit us every three months to encourage us. We have received Jesus Christ in our hearts, so we are assured of our salvation and that someday we will be in heaven. My mother was encouraged to continue seeking God by the LW teacher and he also prayed for my family and my brother Luis’ health because he is a boy with special needs.

My father continues working as a janitor in the touristic place to provide for our needs and my mother dedicates her time to the family and household duties. Sometimes, she sells her hens to earn some money. I live with my father, mother and siblings, but my grandfather and aunt also live with us. Thankfully, my whole family and I are in good health.
