My Story

Hello, good morning! My full name is Emilio David Calachij Luis and I am excited to share my latest news with you.  I hope this letter finds you doing well. I turned 13 years old in June and fortunately, I am in good health. I am in fifth grade at school and when I come back home, I usually look for dry grass to feed the cows that my family has. I prefer cold rather than hot weather because the air is refreshing and perfect to work in the field alongside my father. I tell you that I live with my parents and young brother. To support our family, my father strives a lot as a day laborer and farmer. He occasionally travels to the city to work by carrying heavy packages in the market to earn a little bit more money. My mother also works hard at home by doing the chores and taking care of my brother and me.

In addition, she sells chickens, pigs, and cows that she raises to contribute to the expenses. By the grace of the Lord, they are all doing well. About our spiritual life, I tell you that we attend a nearby church and I am glad that my mother is assured about her salvation because she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior a while ago. Sister Sandra (a member of the LW staff) recently encouraged us to continue seeking God and attending church. I tell you that I can enjoy the meals at the feeding program and a nearby school here in Pasojoc III, too. My parents are grateful for this blessing, the spiritual assistance and other benefits that LW-Adopt A Child has provided me. Some neighbors and relatives had the opportunity to have their meals there and their good comments motivated my mother to enroll me there. It is time to say goodbye, but I hope this information has been helpful. Have a wonderful day!
