My Story

This is Lesly Mendez Garcia, and I am so happy to share a little about my life with you. I turned 14 years old in July. Fortunately, I am healthy and attend the sixth grade at school. My best friend’s name is Herlinda, and I met her many years ago. We usually get together to play soccer and tag. One of the most impactful experiences I have had was getting sick with a stomach infection. Thankfully, God has never left me alone. I truly believe He healed me through the medicines that doctors prescribed to me.

I identify with my mom because she disciplines me with love. It has not been easy for her to be a single mother, but she has done her best. She works as a day laborer in our village to cover our needs. We have not accepted Jesus as our savior yet. Therefore, a member of the LW staff shared the gospel and encouraged us to seek a church to learn about the Lord. See you later!
