My Story

It is a pleasure for me to greet you. I hope you are doing well in the name of Jesus. My full name is Lesly Mendez Garcia, and I want to tell you a little about my life. I am a healthy 13-year-old girl. Fortunately, I am attending school. I am in fifth grade and have classes in the morning. Unfortunately, I have not seen my father for a long time. He abandoned us many years ago, and we know nothing about him. My mom is a healthy and hardworking woman. She works as a farmer and day laborer to support our needs and expenses. She usually receives Q15=$1.93 or Q20=$2.58 as payment for her work. Please, pray for her so the Lord provides her with a better and stable job. I usually help my mom to work in the field on weekends. We raise and sell hens, turkeys, and sheep to earn an extra income.

As for church, let me tell you that we do not attend any at the moment. However, we hope to do it soon. My mom appreciates the LW staff because they shared the gospel and encouraged us to seek God. Undoubtedly, this project has been a great blessing for us. I can receive medicine for free at the LW clinics. Besides that, I can enjoy delicious food at the feeding program. What I love eating the most is fried chicken. Last year, I could celebrate Christmas at LW and receive a lovely gift. I say goodbye to you now, but I want you to know that my mom sends you many greetings. We hope to hear from you soon.
