My Story

Hello, good afternoon! It is such a blessing to write this letter to share a little bit about my life. I am Kimberly Marilu Yanileth Cruz Clemente and thanks to the loving support of many people like you, LW-Adopt A Child has blessed me with food, medical and dental care for about three years. May God continue blessing you all for your generosity! One of the meaningful benefits that I have received there is spiritual assistance. Proof of that, brother Emanuel (a member of the LW staff) recently encouraged us to continue loving God above all things and, especially, to love our neighbors as ourselves. My family and I are members of the Catholic Church and what motivates us to persevere is participating in the holy mass and other engaging activities.

We believe that keeping an active connection with God through prayer and doing good things for others will help us to reach our spiritual goal, which is going to heaven. By the grace of the Lord, I am a healthy teenager and I will turn 15 years old in November. I am eighth grade at school and I prefer cold weather rather than hot because I like wearing warm clothes. I usually clean my bedroom and do other chores since my mother keeps busy working. She is a single parent and does her best to support our family. Thankfully, she is in good health and makes a living as a domestic employee. We are three children in my family, and my oldest brother already works to help my mother with the expenses. This is all for now, but I want you to know that my sister Sabrina helped me to compose this letter for you. Until next time!
