My Story

Hello! My name is Amara Duro. I am 4 years old and my birthday is on March 25th. My favorite color is pink. My future dream is to become a doctor. My previous dream was to became a dancer. I am in kindergarten. I like to spend my free time playing with dolls with my older sister. At home I like to help my mom with organizing my toys, especially my favorite one, Barbie doll. My family and I live in Tirana.

I live in a private house that offers appropriated living conditions to us. I have four persons in my family. I have an older sister. My sister is also registered in the sponsorship program of Adopt a Child and we both enjoy our time at church. My father works with plaster and my mother is working as hairdresser. My father and mother are both working constantly and they are providing well for our living. Even though, same as every family who lives in Albania, we live with low income and we also face financial hardships or other hardships that life can bring.

I frequent the church of God in Tirana together with my sister and mother. The church has a dedicated class for children and I love the time that I spend there, learning from the word of God. In our church the teens and children go to church services and bible studies once a week. All the children who frequent the programme receive constantly boxes containing food and they have so many activities, like Christmas drama, summer camps, etc . Thank you for your care and support.
