My Story

This is Angie Ahidee, and I am delighted to greet you through this means. Before I continue with this, I want you to know that my mom helped me to give all this information to a LW teacher. We are grateful to him for sharing the gospel with us as an encouragement to continue loving God. My family and I attend a Christian Evangelical Church called Casa de Dios in Joyabaj, El Quiche. We usually do it on Sundays and Wednesdays. My father is Mario Antonio Mejia, and he is 33 years old. He makes a living as a mechanic. My mom is Ericka Lucrecia Barrero Santos, and she is 34 years old. Like many housewives, she keeps busy doing the chores. We have dogs and cats at home as pets. Thankfully, my whole family and I am are in good health. I underwent surgery about four months ago because doctors had to remove my appendix. Fortunately, I have had a successful recovery. Our main needs are groceries, especially sugar and corn.

Now, I want you to know that I am 9 years old, and I attended school as a second grader this year. I prefer to receive face-to-face classes because I can play with my friends at recess. Praise the Lord, my father did not have trouble covering my school supplies because he works hard to provide all that my family and I need. I want to continue studying to accomplish my dreams. Some of them are to become a pediatrician and speak English. My favorite holiday is Christmas because of gifts. I like drinking a Guatemalan soft drink called Crema Soda, and my favorite sport is soccer. When my birthday comes, I love receiving gifts. I say goodbye to you for now, but I want you to know that LW is a blessing for many children like me because we have received delicious food for free. See you later!
