My Story

It is my pleasure to greet you through this and I hope our Heavenly father is blessing you! Praise the Lord my family and I attend Israelite Church of God; we go on Saturdays. This time LW staff shared the gospel with us and encouraged us to continue seeking God and trust our salvation in Him. We appreciate so much the advice. I want to tell you that my parents have health issues; my mother suffers from gastritis and my father suffers from uric acid. They have gone to the health center and are taking medicines. Because of that, I also would like to count on your prayers. My mother is Magdalena de la Cruz, and she is 32 years old. She does the housework and tries to get income by making tortillas for other people when they ask her. My father is Jonatan Pu, and he is 40 years old. Due to his health problem, he does not work. Occasionally, he does a day of work for some neighbors, but he does not get much money. At home, we do not have space to raise animals or grow anything.

This is Jonatan Adonias Pu de la Cruz, and I am 11 years old. I am a third-grade student; I receive classes at school, and it is helping my learning now. Unfortunately, my father does not have enough resources to support me at school since he is sick. I speak the K'iche´ Mayan dialect as my native language and have some knowledge of Spanish. However, I would like to enhance my proficiency in Spanish to communicate better with others. I would like to study to become a musician when I am older. The sport I like the most is cycling. I like sodas, especially Coca-Cola which is my favorite one. Let me tell you I love Christmas time because I receive a gift in the feeding program, and it makes me so happy. I feel so happy when my birthday comes because my family congratulates and prays for me; they love me so much. Being part of Living Water has blessed my life because I receive tasty meals, and medical care in the clinics, and it is a great help for me and my family. We are in need of groceries, corn and clothes. Well, this is all for now and I hope to receive news from you very soon. Many and rich blessings to you!

Lots of love,

Jonatan Adonias Pu de la Cruz
