My Story

Hello! How are you? I hope you are doing well together with your loved ones. My name is Jailyne Anahi Juarez Leon, and I am your sponsored child. Through this letter, I want to tell you how my family and I are doing. We are not attending a church, so LW Evangelism team shared the gospel with us and encouraged us to seek one church soon. We are a humble family, and currently, our needs are groceries and corn. We have hens at home, and we sell them when we are in need of money. My father’s name is Hugo, and he is 28 years old. He is in the United States, and he has another family there. I do not know what type of job he does there, but legally, he has to give my mother a pension for my needs. My mother’s name is Maydel, and she is 22 years old. She is in good health, and she sometimes works as a maid to improve our income.

I turned 5 this July, and I am healthy. I started to attend school, and I am in kindergarten; I like everything I am learning. Thankfully, my mother is not spending much money on my studies because it is a pre-primary grade. I do not know what I would like to be in the future, but I want to learn Quiche dialect. I enjoy a lunch and a cake with my family for my birthday. My favorite drink is strawberry juice, and I prefer soccer as a sport. I love Christmas time because we eat “tamales” with the family. I attend LW Clinics when I feel sick. Living Water and you are very important for me because I am blessed with food, presents and medicine through the feeding program. I hope you like my letter.
