My Story

Before anything else, thank you so much for taking the time to read my letter. This is Franklin Manuel, and I hope you find engaging my information. I am five years old, and the people who I live with are my parents and my oldest brother Wilmar. At the moment, we do not attend any church. However, I hope to do it soon. My mother and I are grateful to a member of the Evangelism team from LW because she shared the gospel and encouraged us to look for God. While she did this, she also collected my information for you. My father is Jose, and he is 30 years old. He supports our expenses by cutting coffee beans at the coast and farming the land. In addition, he cultivates corn for our consumption. My mother is Maria, and she is 28 years old. She keeps busy doing the chores and raising sheep, hens, and pigs for sale. Fortunately, my parents, Wilmar, and I are doing well.

I am still younger, so I am not attending school yet. Nevertheless, I enjoy my free time by helping my mother to look after our hens. Besides that, I like playing soccer with my brother. For now, I am planning to be a soccer player in the future. Christmas is the best season for me because I enjoy burning firecrackers. My native language is the Quiche dialect, although I can speak a little Spanish too. So, I hope to learn more about my second language someday. There are many natural beverages, but I love drinking the pineapple juice. When someone in my family is celebrating their birthday, we sing the traditional birthday song, and I love it. I want you to know that LW is a great blessing to my family and me. Our priority needs are food supplies, especially corn. However, the staff of this project blesses our lives with delicious lunches. I leave you now, but if you want to hear something else from my like, do not doubt to ask me.

Cordiality yours,

Franklin Manuel Grave de la Cruz
