Dear be loved Padrinos, I am glad to greet you cordially hoping you are enjoying a wonderful 2025. I want to tell you that my father continues working as a mason´s helper. He is the only one that is supporting us financially while my mother takes care of us and does the housework. Unfortunately, she is suffering from arthritis. She visited the doctor in Guatemala City and he said that she needs to do some medical exams, but she does not have enough money to do that. At the moment, she is taking a medicine called Prednisone. My mother´s name is Joselyn Carolina Gomez and my father´s name is Mynor David Monroy Lopez. Thankfully, my father and I are in good health. Unfortunately, we are not attending any church, but the LW team shared the gospel with my mother and encouraged her to seek one. She said that due to her disease, it has been difficult to attend and also my father does not want to go.
This is Jose David Monroy Gomez and for me Jesus is my heavenly father. My best experience has been to visit the zoo in Guatemala City. We had a trip and I felt the presence of God in my life because he took care of us all the time. I spend a lot of time with my grandmother Maria. She is a brave and strong woman and I admire her. I have a best friend and his name is Andre. I met him two years ago and I like to play football with him when we are together. I am nine years old and I am in a 3rd grade student. I am grateful with God for my health. I love you so much!
In Jesus’ name,
Jose David Monroy Gomez
