It is an immense pleasure for me to greet you by this means; I hope you and your loved ones are keeping well, and I am so happy to share with you some news about my family and me. My name is Damaris, and thankfully, I am in good health. I am 16 years old, and I am a 9th grader this year. Recently, I went on a trip to another department of my country called Retalhuleu, and it was an exceptionally beautiful trip. I could feel God’s presence in this moment. I have a good friend, and her name is Nomely. We like to talk, and we have been friends for two years. As a family, we are not attending a church, but if you ask me who is Jesus for me, I can tell you that He is our protector. We were encouraged by one of the Evangelism teachers to seek God and attend a Church, but we have not taken any decision yet.
Now, I want to tell you more about my parents; some months ago, my father returned to live with us. He is in good health, and now he is working to cover our needs. He is a mason, and works in Jocotenango town and surrounding areas. My mother is earning a living by working in a tortillas business in a nearby town called Pastores. I love and I identify with my mother because she always helps me with everything. It was so nice for me to share all this information with the Evangelism teacher. I hope you like my letter, and it would be so nice for me to receive a letter from you to find out how are you. May God bless you!
Lots of Love,
Damaris Marisel Caal Subuyuj
