My Story

Hello! I greet you through this letter and I hope you have a successful day alongside your loved ones. I want to share some news with you about my family and me. I am Zoila Cristina Morente Gonzalez and I am 9 years old. I want to let you know that we continue attending Prince of Peace Church three days a week. We are grateful to the LW evangelism team who encouraged my mother during the visit, so she is sure of her salvation in Jesus. This year I am in 2^nd grade at school and I am receiving face-to-face classes every day. I prefer this study method because I learn more about the homework. At the moment, my father is making an effort to support me at school in spite of the school fees being so expensive and that he does not have a stable job. My native language is the Quiche Mayan dialect, so I would like to learn Spanish and improve my communication with others. My favorite celebration of the year is Christmas because my custom is to eat “tamales” (a typical dish). Coca-Cola is my favorite beverage. Among sports, I prefer soccer. What I would like to do for my birthday is to eat a delicious cake. Thank God, my family and I are in good health.

My mother`s name is Nirma Esperanza Gonzalez Toj. She is 24 years old. Currently, she continues doing chores at home and taking care of the family. In addition, she raises hens sometimes to sell and get some income. My father`s name is Higinio Morente De La Cruz. He is 23 years old. Nowadays, he continues earning a living by working as a farmer in order to support our family. We are a humble people and our current needs are corn and groceries. We are grateful to Living Water because we have been blessed with meals, medical and dental, and spiritual support. I want to say thank you for the Christmas gift that I receive through LW Adopt-A-Child in December. I hope you enjoy reading my letter.  May God bless you greatly!
