My Story

My name is Jeidy Azucena and I am glad to say hello to you through this letter. Before telling you about my life, thank you so much for taking the time to read it. Let me tell you that my family and I are grateful to you and LW because of all the tasty lunches and medicine that we have received. We do not attend any church now, but I hope it might change soon. My mother could listen to the gospel thanks to a teacher of the evangelism team. The teacher used that moment to collect all my news for you. I would love to ask your prayers for my family, especially for my mother. As you know, my father abandoned my family and me many years ago. He does not help us economically nor communicates with us. Therefore, my mom is the one who works hard to get ahead. Her name is Irma Yat and she is 31 years old. She makes a living in a tortilleria business.

Thankfully, my whole family and I are healthy. Our greatest needs are groceries. We only have two cats at home as pets. I am ten years old and this year, I am attending school as a fourth grader. I prefer to receive face-to-face classes because I learn the lessons much better. Even though my mother does her best for our family, it has been hard for her to cover my school supplies. The current economic situation in the world is making essential needs turn pricey. I would love to become a doctor and speak English when I am older. Christmastime is my favorite because of vacation and typical food. Eating a delicious lunch and cake are things that I enjoy doing to celebrate my birthday. My favorite drink is Coca-Cola and I like basketball. I say goodbye now, but I hope to hear your news soon. May God bless you!

From the bottom of my heart,

Jeidy Azucena Lux Yat
