My Story

I greet you in Jesus’ name hoping you are doing well. I am writing this letter to tell you a little about my family and me. I am Santos Mejia Gonzalez, and I want to start with my family. We are of low resources, and currently, our needs are groceries. We are not attending a church, so LW Evangelism has shared the gospel with us. We have paid attention, and we are grateful for their words. We have hens and cows at home, and we grow corn and black beans for our consumption. My mother’s name is Maria, and she is 23 years old. She traveled to the United States at the end of the last year, and she is now working on a farm there. She is covering the family expenses. My brother and I are now under the care of our maternal grandparents: Salvador Mejia and Santos Gonzalez.  He works as a farmer and day laborer, and she raises and sells domestic animals.

I now want to tell you about my dreams and personal tastes. I would like to improve my Spanish since I speak Quiche dialect as my first language. I prefer soccer as a sport, and my favorite drink is “mosh” (hot drink made from oats). I love Christmas time because the feeding program prepares different activities for us. I enjoy my birthday, especially when my family light fireworks for me. I am healthy, and I am 4 years old. I do not attend school yet, so I keep at home playing with my toy cars. I happily attend the feeding program because I receive delicious food; Living Water and you are very important to me. I say goodbye to you for now hoping to have another opportunity to write to you.
