My Story

Hello! My full name is Marcos Emanuel Lara del Pinal and it is such a blessing to greet you through this letter. I am 14 years old and despite having vision problems, I am doing well since I wear prescription glasses. I am in eighth grade at IMEB school. I prefer cold weather rather than hot. I usually help my mother with the household chores and I am in charge of cleaning my bedroom. I attend a Christian Church called King of the Nations, and I would like to serve at the Sunday Bible school as a teacher. I live with my parents and grandparents. We are glad to attend our services there because they are nice and help us to learn more about God. Sister Princesa (a member of the LW staff) recently talked with my grandmother about how she can be assured of being admitted into heaven. My grandmother trusts in God and believes that we must live according to God’s will to be sure about going to heaven.

I am grateful to sister Princesa because she shared a verse from the Bible with her to strengthen her faith and confidence about her salvation since Jesus gave his life on a cross for love and mercy towards us. Could you please pray for her and the rest of my family? My grandmother suffers from health problems, but I trust that she will recover soon. My father is the main supporter of our family. He makes a living as a day laborer, but he suffers from nerve disturbances. To contribute to the expenses, my mother works as a domestic employee. She also has vision problems and wears prescription glasses like me. My parents and I usually work at a coffee farm from November to February in order to earn a little extra income.
